demo am*dam NOT ON THE 6TH BUT ON THE 13TH

Demonstration in Amsterdam!
Space for everyone!

THE DEMONSTRATION IS NOT ON NOVEMBER 6, BUT ON NOVEMBER 13!!!

On saturday, november 13, we take to tke streets to demostrate against the cutdown policy, the squatting ban and the housingpolicy in general.
We gather at 15:00 at the dokwerker/ Jonas Daniel Meijerplein.

Come all!!!!

We live in strange times, times where the policy makers keep on taking more and more personal choices and freedoms away.
Where it is your own fault if you're broke, homeless, or handicapped.
Where borders do restrict people, but not goods and businesses.
Where even children are put behind bars because they cross the border without permission.
Where to stand up for your own and each other's dignity is made increasingly more difficult.
Where the word freedom only counts for economic order, and the word solidarity is only considered a left-wing hobby.
where when it comes to community development and neighborhood structures, cuts are deemed necessary but later millions have to be pumped into banks to rescue them.
Where the chance to study is put more and more aside for the rich alone.
Where there is no place for people who do not fit in the profit oriented, mainstream society and where people are led to feel ashamed for receiving welfare benefits.
Where people who fight for their rights are criminalised.
where repressive measures are forever tightened and privacy is subordinated to 'Security'.
Where everything must be flexible and conform to market standards, but where job or housing security is an illusion.
Where the housing policy leads to more and more uncertainty.
Where the situation arises that the rights of tenants, that have been built up over the years, continue to be eroded and we arrive at a point where the house-seeker and renter don't have any security. Where squatting becomes prohibited while there is still no real solution found for emptyness and speculation.

With these thoughts in mind we go to the streets to demonstrate that all people, who they prohibit, fire or cut down, are not willing to and will not accept these conditions.

Because the rich should solve their own crisis,
without making us pay for it.
Because there has to be space for all of our needs at all times, everywhere, in every street, every city, every country and for everyone.
