Graphic content: Sudan's silent scream

Entire towns are being massacred, and the world is just letting it happen...
Take Action Now!
Dear friends,
Sudan is falling into the jaws of genocide.

Thousands were slaughtered in a single town. Death went door to door: families facing the unspeakable, and bodies rotting in the street.

Entire towns burnt to the ground, and there's evidence of child soldiers being used, and killed. Mass graves are appearing on satellite imagery.

It's already being called a genocide. But journalists are being hunted or blocked from the country, so mass atrocities are hidden from the news, and the world does almost nothing. Sudan is screaming into the void.

Over 300,000 people died in the Darfur genocide 20 years ago. We cannot let it happen again. Here's what we can do.

Avaaz has identified a "sleeping network" of Sudanese journalists, ready to report from the frontlines. They can drag hidden horrors into the light -- but first they need funding to operate in a literal war zone. Along with photographers, fact-checkers, and targeted political pressure, this is how we can help to shatter the silence.

This isn't about "making a donation" -- it's about funding action to prevent genocide. Together we can amplify Sudan's silent scream, waking world leaders before it's too late.

Another community could be under imminent attack. But now millions of us know. Let's do something about it! Donate what you can now:
I'LL DONATE €2
I'LL DONATE €4
I'LL DONATE €8
I'LL DONATE €15
I'LL DONATE €30
OTHER AMOUNT
This is a chance to have direct impact in the face of horror.

The scale of Sudan's crisis is staggering -- but by pooling our donations, we can have an out-sized impact, pressuring world leaders to act. This could unlock far more than we'd achieve on our own: billions in life-saving aid, urgent peace-keeping missions, and sanctions on mass-murder weapons.

Fueled by social media, hate and violence are spreading like wildfire. And with hardly any media coverage, mass atrocities are unfolding in the dark. The worst horrors on Earth, reduced to blurry satellite images, easily ignored by the world. But as citizens across the planet, we can help to change that -- if we raise enough, we could:
  • Fund independent journalists to file photos, footage, and first-hand reports from Darfur and across Sudan;
  • Support fact-checking organisations to expose disinformation, verify news reports, and enable international coverage of mass atrocities;
  • Power hard-hitting advocacy to drive political action on the looming genocide and the wider civil war; and
  • Launch a specialist team at Avaaz to defend human rights and protect democracy around the world.
I refuse to live in a world where a genocide can just slip by. Where "never again" becomes "again and again". Parents are being executed, orphans fleeing in a warzone, as Sudan slides into darkness. Let's sound the sirens of genocide NOW:
I'LL DONATE €2
I'LL DONATE €4
I'LL DONATE €8
I'LL DONATE €15
I'LL DONATE €30
OTHER AMOUNT
When acts of bloodcurdling violence are kept in the dark, warlords win -- their crimes shielded from international scrutiny and action. But brought to light, survivors have a shot at justice and peace. We've proudly supported journalists on the ground before in war zones from Syria to Yemen to Ukraine, and we can help break the blackout again -- this time in Sudan. So we can truly say, never again.

With endless hope and fierce determination, always,

Mike, Camille, Kaitlin, Abdelrahman, Adela, Bert, and the whole team at Avaaz

PS. This might be your first donation to our movement ever. But what a first donation! Did you know that Avaaz relies entirely on small donations from members like you? That's why we're fully independent, nimble and effective. Join the over 1 million people who've donated to make Avaaz a real force for good in the world.

---
Note: The photo we're using shows Adam Abdel, a young boy from central Darfur. He was badly burned when the Sudanese government dropped a bomb outside his home, in Burgu, Sudan, February 27, 2015. That violence is still ongoing -- and all signs are now pointing towards genocide. But due to the extreme danger and restrictions that journalists are facing, we are relying on older images to portray the violence unfolding today. As Darfur edges towards genocide again, reporters must be able to document mass atrocities so the bloodshed can be stopped -- and those responsible held to account.

The climate lawsuit of the century - protect the kids!

CLICK TO STAND WITH THE KIDS
In days, 6 young climate heroes will face off against 32 governments in a historic battle to protect their rights from climate chaos. They are ready to put up a brave fight against an army of government lawyers resisting urgent emission cuts – a tidal wave of support would really fire them up as they march into court and show the world is watching. Click to show your support, and then leave a message:
CLICK TO STAND WITH THE KIDS
Dear friends,
Raging wildfires scorched entire forests in their country, killing over 100 people.

Cláudia, Catarina, Martim, Sofia, André and Mariana are growing up with heat waves spiraling out of control, watching in horror as the ongoing reality of climate chaos inches closer to home than ever.

But they're not giving up.

They are taking 32 governments to one of the world's most powerful courts. If they win, all those countries will be legally forced to cut their carbon emissions and phase out fossil fuels.

They are facing an army of government lawyers who hope this case will fly under the radar. After years of preparing for this historic moment, these climate heroes need to know they are not alone. Avaaz will bring our voices to the youth and project messages across the court, so everyone can see that the world is watching:
The European Court of Human Rights is extremely selective about the cases it hears – and yet, the judges have fast-tracked this one. That's how critically important this is.

This trial could force a swathe of powerful European governments to slash carbon emissions and give huge momentum to other climate cases hitting the courts around the globe!

Because governments' climate inaction is a human rights crisis, these kids are standing up to protect themselves from the climate emergency. And they wouldn't be here without Avaaz members like you.

Together we helped pay for these kids' powerhouse legal team and funded ground-breaking research showing how government behavior is linked to climate anxiety in young people.

Now they need our help once more, will you stand with the climate heroes before they go to court?
We've seen the impact of taking legal action before: Germany was forced to redraft their climate law as a result of a court case brought by youth. In the Netherlands, a judge ordered mass polluter Shell to reduce its emissions. Now we can support these young climate heroes pushing 32 governments to take stronger climate action. Let's build pressure before the verdict – and make history!

In solidarity,

Ruth, Nell, Pascal, Mélanie, Nick, Daniel, Fey, Emilie, and the entire Avaaz team

Stop Putin's famine

SIGN NOW
Putin's missiles have already burned 220,000 tons of grain in Ukraine – and Russia is treating grain ships as potential military targets. Food prices have gone up everywhere and we can't let Putin's blockade starve the world. African leaders and even China have called out his senseless war on food – let's join the global outcry and bring our call to key leaders who can up the pressure on Putin.
SIGN NOW
Dear friends,
Putin's missiles have already burned 220,000 tons of grain in Ukraine - enough to feed almost a million people for a year.

Ukraine is the breadbasket of the world, and countries on the verge of famine in East Africa rely heavily on its wheat. Now Russia is treating grain ships as potential military targets – and food prices have already gone up everywhere.

We can't let Putin's blockade starve the world. Russia is gauging the international reaction: African leaders and even China have already called out its cruel war on food – and the global uproar could make it reevaluate. Add your name now, and when it's massive we'll bring our call to key leaders who can up the pressure on Putin – sign and share everywhere.
When Putin's blockade sent food prices through the roof last year, the UN brokered a vital deal that ensured ships could continue to carry grain from Ukraine - and from Russia - across the Black Sea. Russia claims it killed the deal because sanctions still blocked its grain exports – but the truth is that they hit record highs over the last year.

This is just another escalation in Russia's brutal war of aggression, and a callous blackmail as Putin holds hostage the 400 million people that Ukraine's grain feeds around the world.

Even countries that had refused to condemn Russia's invasion have already criticized the reckless blockade – including China, its most important ally. Putin made a cruel gamble with people's lives – and he needs to see the world will blame hunger on him. Let's supercharge the global outcry: Avaaz will take our call to key leaders and all over the media.
Putin's war keeps getting crueler. But our movement keeps standing up to his crimes: we were millions to condemn his invasion last year, and to call for his prosecution. And we've won key battles in the fight for justice: we've never been closer to a Special Tribunal that can hold Putin accountable for his aggression against Ukraine, and we helped make sure he wouldn't be able to defy the arrest warrant against him at a key summit in South Africa. Let's do it again.

With hope and determination,

John, Antonia, Huiting, Abdelrahman, Mo, Nate, Bert, Ife and the whole Avaaz team

10 best inspiring movies my Mum like us to watch.

10 best inspiring movies my Mum like us to watch. Tribute and Love
Hello Lovely People!
By watching inspiring movies, with this post, I'm tributing my Mum, Iwona Grygoruk who left her Body one year ago 20.05.2021. I know she would like us to watch those movies, and some of them are our favorite ones!
What choice could you add to this list? = Write in the comment!
What dream may come
Fried green tomatoes (1991)
The Color Purple (1985)
The Celestine Prophecy
Zorba the Greek
Pay It Forward
Eat, Pray, Love
Cinderella Man 2005
Spartacus 1960
Winter Story
Angel-A
Conversations with God
The music we also Love both. She like classical.
Ludovico Einaudi is our favorite mutual choice.
We used to watch every Thursday at 20.00 on channel 2 Polish TV family drama movie that told us about someone, sometimes real-life story. It always touched our hearts, developed compassion, and had a good influence on our rising up as kids.
Now we are living in a world where we have more choices. The mass media have strong power to push into us very often to make the wrong choice. We are often manipulated, but now and again, people create better choices in our lives. And that's the one that we are proposing to you with this list, with tantra with Love and liberation from the conditionings we didn't choose.
I'm very happy that my Mum had a chance to see, experience, and feel me, Tantra Movement, school, and the community growing, thriving, and flourishing. I'm pleased that she could join and feel the family of supporting volunteers and Koh Phangan itself and that she made some Friendships during her stay here.
I'm so proud and happy that she could even, to some extent, choose and participate in some tantric heart-sharing ritual. I'm so happy that with her Friend, they both say afterward:
"Now, I understand what tantra really means. We have to convince our grown up children and grandchildren to experience it and to use it."
There is peace in my heart that she could maybe, first time, not only fully understand and accept what I'm doing but even be proud of the school, community, Love we are sharing here.
It means a lot to me. It gives me such strong backup that so much I need on this sometimes not so easy path.
Thank you for supporting me, Dear Mum. We always are together.
Missing you so much, even feeling so much of your spirit. Love and support.
Michal
Let's watch the Movie together. Which one would you like this time?
Also, thank you so much for reading me ferry tails to sleep every evening when I was small. Grimm, Andersen... - they were so innocent, inspiring, and greatly influenced me, my imagination, life, and Love!
Love you!
