This morning the riot cops at 6:30 the riot cops started to evict Schijnheilig. As far as we know, 2 arrestees were brought to cellencomplex zuid-oost. There was also a mass arrest at the Prinsengracht, approximately 75 people were arrested there, and put in to a city bus.

Solidariteitsverklaring Prof. Protest -> Schijnheilig

Het zit Professor Protest niet mee. Halve Zoolstra is nog steeds met goede moed op weg om het Hoger Onderwijs een laatste zetje richting afgrond te geven. Onderweg maakt hij ook een tussenstop in de cultuursector om ook hier desastreuze bezuinigen door te voeren.

We stevenen met dit kabinet af op een maatschappij waar geen plek is voor nieuwsgierigheid en waar alles in cijfers uitgedrukt moet worden. Toch is er geen reden om te wanhopen. Steeds meer mensen zeggen nee tegen deze manier van denken, en ja tegen een andere Toekomst. Een samenleving waar rekening met elkaar gehouden wordt en ruimte is voor creativiteit en zelfontplooiing. In zo'n Toekomst is onderwijs kwalitatief en toegankelijk en wordt een kritische geest op prijs gesteld, precies zoals Prof Pro het graag ziet.

Het Collectief Schijnheilig is een voorbeeld van mensen die deze Toekomst mogelijk willen maken. Met hun lokatie op de Passeerdersgracht hebben ze de afgelopen jaren een plek geboden aan allerhande culturele initatieven en kritische groepen. Gevestigd in een school die al jaren leegstond hebben zij de collegebanken weer gevuld en ruimte gegeven aan creatieve ontplooiing: onderwijs in de meest brede zin van het woord.

Prof Pro is dan ook geschokt en teleurgesteld dat dit initiatief de nek wordt omgedraaid. Morgen zal Schijnheilig ontruimd worden, terwijl de eigenaar geen plan of koper heeft! Vandaag de dag gaan vastgoedbelangen boven culturele belangen. De Professor is het hier niet mee eens en zal daarom morgenochtend om 05:30 aanwezig zijn op de gracht. Om te strijden voor plekken waar niet het geld maar de creativiteit het voor het zeggen heeft, een waar kritische geesten kunnen samenkomen.

En vooral ook om te vieren met alle mensen die daar aanwezig zijn, met alle creatieve, orginele en ludieke kracht die we in ons hebben dat je ons niet stil kan krijgen, nooit! Wij zullen onze stem verheffen door te dichten, te dansen, te zingen en te schreeuwen, en daarmee een aanzet geven tot iets moois: een ander soort samenleving.

A demonstration with clearly recognizable undercover police

All right, one of the intentions of the demonstration "Kraken draait door" Sunday, July 3rd was to don't have police in the demonstration. But of course you'll need some undercover police to keep order! A great task for Inspector Green, Inspekteur Grün and Inspecteur Vert. Next to it there were some other colleagues in the demonstration, but it wasn't easy to find them...

It was a beautiful sunny day in Amsterdam. We arrived 17.00 at the Dam square: 7 members of the undercover police from the special department 'Inspector Green, inspekteur Grün and Inspecteur Vert'.
Immediately we started to make some rounds. Why? to find our colleagues who might feel lonely in an enthusiastic crowd of squatters and symphatizers. It wasn't easy at all... Did they get lost? Did they disappear?

After hearing some very interesting speeches finally the demonstration started. With unstoppable energy we looked and looked and looked, but where the hell were our beloved colleagues?!
Only in the tail of the demonstration we found a few candidates; we gave them company for a while. The best way to don't feel lonely as an undercover cop!

But to be honoust: we were still in doubt about the question - do they really belong to us or do they belong to them? In the past it was so easy to recognise undercover police, but now...

At least we were recognizable as undercover police! And that's the way it should be! Let's shout it loud and clear: "this country needs order!"

Call-out for Resistance at Eviction Wave

Dear supporters of Schijnheilig!

Help us this upcoming Tuesday (July 5) from about 5:30am in the morning (possibly earlier) to make a spectacular statement against an empty city and for free spaces - for places where not money but creativity counts!

On this morning, Schijnheilig at the Passeerdersgracht is supposed to get evicted. Again, we want to show to everyone what Schijnheilig is and what will be forcefully removed from the city of Amsterdam. This is gonna happen through non-violent and creative resistance, by jumping, by poetry, through dancing and screaming. After the cuts of governmental support for culture, free spaces have become the next target.

The curtain is falling for Schijnheilig at the Passeerdersgracht - despite months of negotiations with city authorities, despite the strong and wide support for Schijnheilig and despite the fact that there are simply no long-term, substantial plans for the building.

The building at the Passeerdergracht will be handed over empty. There is nobody interested in buying it, nor are there any plans for its future use. No need to say that we are angry and that we will fight until the last moment to wake him up.

But, if the eviction remains unavoidable, we will form a committee with all our supporters to welcome those enforcing the actual eviction. This means: gathering in the street in front of the building with a stage & breakfast, making the Passeerdersgracht for the last time a place of joyful, yet nonetheless strong and honest opposition. A statement for something beautiful - a different form of society.
 
 
Come and join us in this expression of freedom, talk about it and invite others! Everyone is - as always - welcome to go up on stage and make their voice heard.
 
The manifestation starts at 5.30am in the morning. Try to be there early, as we expect the eviction to take place around dawn. The manifestation will continue until the riot police have come to their senses. It is possible to sleep over at Schijnheilig on Monday night. Throughout the entire weekend, from Saturday till Monday night, there will be a diverse program happening at Schijnheilig, including further information regarding the eviction.

Kraken Draait Door Demonstration Videos

I will be doing this speech straight in english as we are an international movement and we should be proud of that.

The Amsterdam squatting movement is an international movement, as there are many people from many different backgrounds who fight for their right to live here.

We should not be afraid to state that yes, we have an right to this city. We are the people who clean this city, cook its food. We are working the supermarkets. We haul the trash. We take care of the elderly and the sick. We build the houses. We teach the children. We guide the tourists. We make the art that makes this place an worthwhile place to live.
Each and everyone of us, the precariat, the workingclass, everybody who forms the heart and blood of this city has the right to live here and should fight for it. Blind for the racial and nationalist lines that those in power try to dived us along.

And we are not just an international movement because of the many people from different backgrounds that live here but also an international movement as this is an global struggle.

Tomorow "Homes not Jails" will have an demonstration and open housing occupation in San Francisco.

As their call out states; "figures show that in The City of San Francisco thirty two thousand housing units are empty while ten thousand people are homeless, People must not be evicted for profit. People's rights come before property rights."

"In 2005, there were an estimated 1 billion people world wide living in squatted homes and in squatter shantytowns. By 2030, the projection jumps to 2 billion or one in four people on the planet. We will unite, we will fight, and ... we will win. "



We, here today, dont just march and fight for our right to this city, we also march and fight in solidarity with those fighting every where else. Those that will fight in San Francisco tomorow, those that fought in Kopenhagen yesterday, those that fight in Berlin as we speak and those in every place in the world, in the first- and in the third world, that fight every day.

And to those who say we shouldnt be too radical in our demands, that we shouldnt be talking about classwarfare. those that say we should be happy with the bones those in power choose to throw us, those people i want to remind of one thing:

The president of the FED, the (privatised) central bank of the United States recently said:

"There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we are winning."

They declared war on us. Now we should decide whether we yield or fight back with every weapon in our arsenal.
And if we fight back against those that declared war against us, and we happen to loose an battle, lets make sure we take some of the fuckers down with us.

Eerder vandaag is de beganegrond van Ceintuurbaan 207 in de Pijp te Amsterdam gekraakt.






Eerder vandaag is de beganegrond van Ceintuurbaan 207 in de Pijp te Amsterdam gekraakt. De beganegrond was duidelijk al meer dan een jaar niet meer in gebruik. De heer J.W.J Tulen van de politie heeft door middels van fotos en video opnamen samen met een collega leegstand geconstanteerd, maar mocht niet naar binnen.

De buren leken er verder ook erg tevreden over en keken rustig toe.

De kraak is onderdeel van de 'kraken draait door' dagen in Amsterdam welke gestart zijn in verband met de aankomende ontruimingen van woningen en vrijplaatsen
