Stop the Maasai evictions – Join the twitter storm!

Take Action Now!
Dear friends,
More than 3 million people worldwide are now standing with the Maasai of Northern Tanzania and urging the President to oppose the Maasai evictions!

Our campaign's made it into international media, has been backed by influencers like Mark Ruffalo and Maria Sarungi-Tsehai, and was delivered to the President's senior staff at the Europe-Africa Summit. And, thousands of Maasai have come out to demonstrate in Ngorongoro where they face eviction.

But the President's still not speaking up, so it's time to turn up the pressure! Today, we're publishing a hard-hitting ad in one of East Africa's most influential newspapers. Please take a second to RT to make sure the President feels the heat and publicly commits to stop the Maasai evictions!

We know global solidarity can have a real impact. Back in 2013 after our global community launched a campaign with the Maasai, the President promised they would never be evicted from their ancestral lands. So, let's amp up the pressure again on the new President - we won't give up!

With hope and determination,

Sarah, Patricia, Adela, Sam, Luis and the rest of the Avaaz team.
