Paraguay has turned into the 4th world GM soy exporting country, where soy is currently taking up over 2 million hectares of land. GM soy is destinated among other places to Europe and China, where it is used to feed the animals for our consumption and for biodiesel production for our cars.
But industrial monocultures require intensive agrochemical spraying that contaminate and impact the health of the rural, indigenous and small farmer population.
Write today to the paraguayan president Fernando Lugo and ask him to veto a new law that favours the indisriminate use of agrochemicals and threathens life and nature at:
