Today issue that's like usual agenda, then...

Today's Awakening will mainly play interviews from the activity what happened last Sunday in Osdorpse west gardens. The organization "Boerenstadswens" together with small local farmers presented the area and gived the proof of the food grown on this district. Above this green area of farms are hanging the plans which may keep that place as it is and develop it in that way as recreation/ecologic place for

citizens of Osdorp or may build there more company's and offices. The "Prove the district" event was one from many recently intensificated activity's what would like to show how important is to keep farms where they are and give possibilities for people to connect to nature and to prevent from destroying that place by building there more offices and company's which any way probably would stay empty.

Beside of that Pipi would continue some good advices from"Do It Yourself"(A handbook for changing our world). As always, we would read some ecologic advices from book"Make A Difference". Then as usual we will also would try to fit some good news,

DIY tips and positive things about squatting, etc...In the background like usual some fresh in our collection international/political songs(mainly punk)

Polonia Aktywna i Awakening 7 o rolnictwie ekologicznym

Na początku info o tym co będzie się dziać w najbliższym czasie a potem...

W dzisiejszym Awakeningu głównym tematem będzie relacja z zdarzenia na którym organizacja "Boerenstadswens" wraz z lokalnymi małymi rolnikami Osdorpu(zachodnia część Amsterdamu) poprzez pokaz swych farm i gospodarstw oraz poczęstunek promowała ten obszar. Dosyć spory teren w tym momencie stoi pod znakiem zapytania. Albo wybuduje się tam biurowce oraz fabryki albo pozostawi się go obecnym tam już od wielu pokoleń rolnikom i w ten sposób będzie służył jako teren rekreacyjny dla pobliskiego blokowego osiedla Osdorp. Inicjatywa jest jedną ze wzmożonych aktywności mających na celu pokazanie potrzebę tego typu obszarów dla okolicznych mieszkańców, dla natury oraz dla małych ekologicznych gospodarstw. Będziemy grali wywiady, które przeprowadziliśmy podczas tego zdarzenia. 

Po za tym w programie Pipi z podręcznika DIY poczyta nam parę praktycznych rad.

 Ponadto kilka cotygodniowych,  przydatnych rad jak żyć bardziej ekologicznie z książki "Make a Diferrence" (Zrób różnicę) Po za tym jak zwykle będziemy starali się wcisnąć jakieś pozytywne wiadomości.

Radio patapoe jest zarówno internetowe jak i w eterze. Normalne fale mają zasięg lokalny, a przez internet można nas słuchać na całym świecie. Jesteśmy radiem pirackim. Słuchają je głównie skłotersi, studenci, lecz także starsi ludzie , po których raczej bym się nie spodziewał. Ogólnie staramy się by było jak najbardziej zróżnicowane.

Z jedynych ograniczeń jakie mogę zauważyć to, to że nie puszczamy żadnej komercyjnej papki. Staramy się tworzyć alternatywę, a nie powielać stacje nastawione na zysk. Dlatego nie ma u nas żadnych reklam. Głównie przeważa muzyka eksperymentalna i elektroniczna, dużo jest reggae, dub, techno i punk. Po za tym audycje jakie miałyby małe szanse zaistnieć w komercyjnym radiu. Ja z Pipi w każdy wtorek od około 16.00 do 19.30 gramy program "awakening" (patrz plakat po prawej stronie , pod linkami na stronach) w skład, którego wchodzi też "Polonia Aktywna"(od~18.30 do 19.30). COURT FINDS USDA VIOLATED FEDERAL LAW BY ALLOWING GENETICALLY ENGINEERED SUGAR BEETS ON THE MARKET

Government Failed To Evaluate Environmental and Economic Risks of Monsanto Product

San Francisco, CA - In a case brought by Center for Food Safety and Earthjustice representing a coalition of farmers and consumers, a Federal Court ruled yesterday that the Bush USDA's approval of genetically engineered (GE) "RoundUp Ready" sugar beets was unlawful. The Court ordered the USDA to conduct a rigorous assessment of the environmental and economic impacts of the crop on farmers and the environment.

The federal district court for the Northern District of California ruled that the U. S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service ("APHIS") violated the National Environmental Policy Act ("NEPA") when it failed to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement ("EIS") before deregulating sugar beets that have been genetically engineered ("GE") to be resistant to glyphosate herbicide, marketed by Monsanto as Roundup. Plaintiffs Center for Food Safety, Organic Seed Alliance, Sierra Club, and High Mowing Seeds, represented by Earthjustice and the Center for Food Safety, filed suit against APHIS in January 2008, alleging APHIS failed to adequately assess the environmental, health, and associated economic impacts of allowing "Roundup Ready" sugar beets to be commercially grown without restriction.

"This court decision is a wakeup call for the Obama USDA that they will not be allowed to ignore the biological pollution and economic impacts of gene altered crops," stated Andrew Kimbrell Executive Director of the Center for Food Safety. "The Courts have made it clear that USDA's job is to protect America's farmers and consumers, not the interests of Monsanto."

While industry asserts that the adoption rates of GE sugar beets has been high, food producers have shown reluctance in accepting GE beet sugar. Over 100 companies have joined the Non-GM Beet Sugar Registry opposing the introduction of GE sugar beets, and pledging to seek wherever possible to avoid using GM beet sugar in their products:http://www.seedsofdeception.com/includes/services/nongm_sugar_beet_registry_display.cfm .

Sugar beet seed is grown primarily in Oregon's Willamette Valley, which is also an important seed growing area for crops closely related to sugar beets, such as organic chard and table beets. GE sugar beets are wind pollinated and will inevitably cross-pollinate the related crops being grown in the same area. Such biological contamination would be devastating to organic farmers, who face debilitating market losses if their crops are contaminated by a GE variety. Contamination also reduces the ability of conventional farmers to decide what to grow, and limits consumer choice of the foods they can eat. In his September 21, 2009 order requiring APHIS to prepare an EIS, Judge Jeffrey S. White emphasized that "the potential elimination of a farmer's choice to grow non-genetically engineered crops, or a consumer's choice to eat non-genetically engineered food, is an action that potentially eliminates or reduces the availability of a particular plant has a significant effect on the human environment."

The Court found "no support in the record" for APHIS' conclusion that conventional sugar beets would remain available for farmers and consumers and held that the agency's decision that there would be no impacts from the GE beets "unreasonable."

The Court also held that APHIS failed to analyze the impacts of biological contamination on the related crops of red table beets and Swiss chard. "Organic seed is the foundation of organic farming and organic food integrity, said Mathew Dillon, Director of Advocacy of the Organic Seed Alliance. "We must continue to protect this natural resource, along with the rights of organic farmers to be protected from negative economic impact from GE crops, and consumers rights' to choose to eat food free of GE components."

"The ruling is a major consumer victory for preserving the right to grow and eat organic foods in the United States," stated Neil Carman of the Sierra Club. "Environmental impacts of Roundup Ready sugar beets were also not considered by APHIS, and they need to be fully evaluated."

8 0Roundup Ready" crops allow farmers to douse their fields with Monsanto's Roundup herbicide without killing the crop. Constant application of the herbicide has resulted in weeds becoming resistant to it. There are now millions of acres across the U.S. of such "superweeds," including marestail, ragweed, and waterhemp, and farmers are using greater applications of Roundup or other, even more toxic chemicals. According to an independent analysis of USDA data by former Board of Agriculture Chair of the National Academy of Sciences, Dr. Charles Benbrook, GE crops increased herbicide use in the U.S. by 122 million pounds – a 15-fold increase – between 1994 (when GE herbicide-tolerant crops were introduced) to 2004.

Earthjustice attorney Paul Achitoff noted, "Although touted by Monsanto as offering all sorts of benefits, GE crops offer consumers nothing, and are designed primarily to sell herbicides. The end result of their use is more toxics in our environment and our food, disappointed farmers, and revenue for Monsanto."

A 2008 scientific study revealed that Roundup formulations and metabolic products cause the death of human embryonic, placental, and umbilical cells in vitro even at low concentrations. Other recent studies suggest Roundup is an endocrine=2 0disrupter, and that some amphibians and other organisms may be at risk from glyphosate.

In addition, Judge Jeffrey S. White – in his ruling – has scheduled a meeting in his courtroom on October 30, 2009 to discuss the remedies phase of the case, including potential injunctive relief.

Monsanto has been the subject of increasing speculation that the Department of Justice's antitrust division is scrutinizing the biotechnology company's control of the markets for GE crops, and for commodities such as corn, soy and cotton.

The case is Center for Food Safety v. Vilsack, No. C 08-00484 JSW (N.D. Cal. 2009). The decision follows on the heels of a June 2009 decision from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirming the illegality of the APHIS' approval of Monsanto's genetically engineered alfalfa.

Organic farmers win court victory in genetic sugar beet battle

A federal judge overturned government approval of a variety of sugar beet genetically engineered to resist a popular weed killer produced by agricultural giant Monsanto, according to a ruling released Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White in San Francisco found the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service violated environmental law by failing to take a "hard look" at whether "Roundup Ready" sugar beets would eventually share their genes with other crops.

Noting that pollen from genetically altered sugar beets could be blown by the wind long distances to related crops, such as chard and table beets, the judge ordered the agency to produce an environmental impact statement examining the issue.

"The potential elimination of farmers' choice to grow nongenetically engineered crops, or consumers' choice to eat nongenetically engineered food ... has a significant effect on the human environment," White wrote.

The plant inspection agency is reviewing the ruling, said spokeswoman Suzanne Bond.

A lesser level of review, known as an environmental assessment, found no significant impact from introducing a ground bacteria gene tolerant of the herbicide into the sugar beet genome, noting that if pollen spread the genes to wild beets, they were considered a weed, and no cause for concern.

The ruling was a second blow for St. Louis-based Monsanto's Roundup Ready crops. While soy beans, corn, cotton, and canola genetically engineered to withstand the company's popular weed-killer have been in wide commercial production for years, a similar ruling in 2007 forced a ban on planting Roundup Ready alfalfa until a re-examination was done. That environmental impact statement is not yet done.

It was not immediately clear what impact the ruling would have on the U.S. sugar crop, about half of which comes from Roundup Ready sugar beets. The judge did not address the harvest of the current crop. Roundup Ready beet seed saves growers on labor, fuel costs and equipment wear.

But the organic farmers, food safety advocates and conservation groups that brought the lawsuit will ask the judge Oct. 30 for an injunction banning new plantings until the re-examination is done, said Earthjustice attorney Paul Achitoff.

American Sugar Beet Growers Association spokesman Luther Markwart said he did not know how much nongenetically altered seed was available if the judge grants the ban.

"Clearly we are going to vigorously defend our farmers' freedom to plant Roundup Ready sugar beets," Markwart said. "All this has to do with how we make our case."

Most of the seed is produced in Oregon's Willamette Valley, but the crop is grown on 1.1 million acres in 11 states from Michigan to California, Markwart said.

Frank Morton, an organic seed grower in the Willamette Valley town of Philomath and plaintiff in the lawsuit, said steps were taken to keep similar crops apart to prevent cross-pollination, but Roundup Ready seed growers would not divulge which fields were growing genetically altered crops.

He added that he had to pay $300 each time he tested his seeds for genetic contamination, and the first time it is found the crop becomes worthless.

"This industry could be destroying the crop value of organic growers and organic growers would not have the slightest idea they were in danger until their stuff turned up contaminated," he said. "This is why I made a stink about this."

Achitoff said besides genetic contamination, they were concerned Roundup Ready crops were creating new strains of weeds resistant to herbicides.

Monsanto spokesman Garrett Kasper said from company headquarters in St. Louis that the ruling was largely procedural and did not question the safety of Roundup Ready crops.

"The issue of weed resistance, as far as we are concerned, is something that is able to be controlled through the properties of chemicals and working with our technical advisers in the field," he said. "Roundup Ready technology uses less herbicide than conventional, which is why it was so readily adopted by growers."

BetaSeed Inc. in Tangent, which produces sugar beet seed, did not immediately return a call for comment.

Today's Awakening mainly would mobilize for participating in taking climate change in to our hands on conference COP15 in Copenhagen. The other main subject's by Pipi would be:

W dzisiejszym Awakeningu głównie będziemy mobilizować do udziału w przejęciu konferencji klimatycznej COP15 w Kopenhadze w grudniu. Po za tym Pipi z podręcznika DIY i z życia poczyta nam o tym jak ważny wpływ ma jedzenie na to kim jesteśmy, a po za tym parę praktycznych rad na temat tworzenia kolektywów żywnościowych, a między innymi amsterdamskiemu Vokomokum.

 Po za tym co tygodniowych kilka praktycznych rad jak żyć bardziej ekologicznie z książki "Make a Difference" (Zrób różnicę) Po za tym jak zwykle będziemy starali się wcisnąć jakieś pozytywne wiadomości.

W "Polonii Aktywnej" będziemy kontynuować mobilizację by zmienić klimat na lepsze na szczycie COP 15 w Kopenhadze w grudniu. Radio patapoe jest zarówno internetowe jak i w eterze. Normalne fale mają zasięg lokalny, a przez internet można nas słuchać na całym świecie. Jesteśmy radiem pirackim. Słuchają je głównie skłotersi, studenci, lecz także starsi ludzie , po których raczej bym się nie spodziewał. Ogólnie staramy się by było jak najbardziej zróżnicowane.

Z jedynych ograniczeń jakie mogę zauważyć to, to że nie puszczamy żadnej komercyjnej papki. Staramy się tworzyć alternatywę, a nie powielać stacje nastawione na zysk. Dlatego nie ma u nas żadnych reklam. Głównie przeważa muzyka eksperymentalna i elektroniczna, dużo jest reggae, dub, techno i punk. Po za tym audycje jakie miałyby małe szanse zaistnieć w komercyjnym radiu. Ja z Pipi w każdy wtorek od około 16.00 do 19.30 gramy program "awakening" (patrz plakat po prawej stronie , pod linkami na stronach) w skład, którego wchodzi też "Polonia Aktywna"(od~18.30 do 19.30). Gadamy non stop przez ponad trzy godziny o ważnych dla nas sprawach : skłoterskich , politycznych, wolnościowych, ekologicznych, duchowych, prawach ludzi , prawach zwierząt itp. Czasem zapraszamy gości z różnych społecznych organizacji, by udzielili nam wywiadu o tym co robią. W tle przeważnie leci jakiś anarcho punk z inteligentnym przekazem w innym języku niż rozmawiamy, by słowa się nie mieszały. Posłuchaj sam...

ASI Statement

On September, 4^th 2009 District Court in Belgrade decided that arrested members of ASI will be held for thirty days in detention. Our comrades are accused of an act of international terrorism.

Union Confederation "Anarcho-syndicalist Initiative" found out about the attack on Greek embassy, and of the organisation that took the responsibility for this act, through media.

We use this opportunity to remind the public once again that these methods of individual political struggle are not methods of anarcho-syndicalism, quite the contrary – we proclaim our political positions publicly and through our work we seek to bring masses to the syndicalist movement and all the libertarian and progressive organisations.

Wanting to brutally suppress its fierce critics the state, through its mechanism of repression, acts with banal logic and maps as suspects those who explicitly stated their libertarian beliefs, and by their imprisonment ends the case and gives a false picture of its efficiency to the public.

Unscrupulous actions of regime's organs can be observed from the first moments of arrest, unlawful searches of their apartments, intimidations of their families to extreme charges of international terrorism.

Given the fact that we do not support the acts of now famous anarchist group "Crni Ilija" (Black Iliya) we still cannot characterise what happened as "international terrorism", because terrorism, by definition, entails threats to the lives of civilians, whereas in this case no one was even hurt and only symbolic material damage was done.

It is clear that this state produced farce is just one way of intimidating anyone who decides to point out the injustice and hopelessness of contemporary society.

In times of general social numbness individuals reach for the most unbelievable, sometimes even self-destructive, actions in order to break through the media blockade and to put their case in the centre of attention – let us remember the workers who cut off and eat their own fingers, or, for example, the unlucky, distressed man who threatened to activate a hand grenade in the building of the Presidency of Serbia – that is, trying to shed some light on their problems in a broader social space.

Lets not allow them to persuade us that one symbolic act of solidarity, even if expressed in a certainly ill manner, together with any other act of rebellion of those who are left with no rights should be treated as an antisocial act and an act of terrorism.

We express solidarity with the arrested comrades and their families and demand the truth about this case!

Politieke arrestaties in Belgrado

Op zaterdag, 4 september, vijf politieke activisten zijn gearresteerd in Belgrado onder valse beschuldigingen. De vijf, Tadej Kurep Ivan Vulović Sanja Dojkić, Ratibor Trivunac en Nikola Mitrovic, zijn militanten of leden van het Servische gedeelte van de Internationale Arbeiders Associatie (AIT).

De arrestaties zouden gekoppeld zijn aan directe acties die plaatsvonden bij de ambassade van Griekenland op 25 augustus. Het was een symbolische daad van solidariteit met Thodoros Iliopoulos met weinig schade : een scheur in een venster, een klein brand merk op de gevel en een A-cirkel op de ambassade. De officier van justitie stelt dit echter voor als een daad van "internationaal terrorisme" en wil onze vrienden vervolgen aan deze titel. Indien de Staat deze beschuldiging toelaat, kunnen ze geconfronteerd zijn tot 3-15 jaar gevangenis.

Tot op heden zijn vijf gearresteerd, geïntimideerd en moet in hechtenis blijven voor ten minste een maand, terwijl de zaak wordt gehouden.

Hoewel een van de verdachte, Trivunac Ratibor, secretaris-generaal van de AIT, duidelijk en publiekelijk verklaard dat hij niets wist van de actie, werd hij gearresteerd. Dit is niet de eerste keer dat de autoriteiten het aan hem of zijn vrienden om geen andere reden dan dat ze radicale critici van de staat zijn.

We vragen mensen over de hele wereld om nu actie te voeren !

Als u het organiseren van een protest naar een ambassade, consulaat of andere diplomatieke missie in Servië, ga ook naar de Communistisch Partij. In plaats van een dag van actie, geloven we dat acties kunnen worden gespreid over verschillende dagen, maar wij geloven dat het beter is niet te wachten ! Probeer het voor de 15-16 september.

Ook, faxen en brieven van protest sturen ! We hebben een mailing lijst op onze webpagina. Vanaf NU is de film ‘Kraken, waarom niet?’ te zien op www.stoorzender.tv. Morgen wordt het wetsvoorstel voor een kraakverbod in de Tweede Kamer behandeld. De film gaat de discussie aan rond dit kraakverbod.

Gisteren is de film vertoond in een propvolle zaal. Vanaf nu dus online te bekijken.

In ‘Kraken, waarom niet?’ (NL 25min.) komen voor- en tegenstanders van een kraakverbod aan het woord. Ze worden geconfronteerd met vragen als: ‘Wat is de verhouding tussen woonrecht en eigendomsrecht?’ en ‘Wat zijn de praktische gevolgen van een kraakverbod?’

Kraker Daniël wordt ontruimd uit zijn kraakpand in hartje centrum en trekt op zijn bakfiets door de stad. Daniël, vrijwilliger bij het Studenten Kraakspreekuur: ‘Als kraken wegvalt, vraag ik me af hoeveel van de jongeren hun woning kunnen behouden. Zonder kraken is er ook geen noodzaak meer voor anti-kraak.’ Medekraker Roos laat hem zien hoe ze een pand weer bewoonbaar hebben gemaakt en ze haar eigen kamer heeft gebouwd. Volgens haar zijn huiseigenaren die huizen leeg laten staan dieven van haar recht om te wonen.

Als het aan kamerlid Ten Hoopen (CDA) ligt is kraken binnenkort verboden. Ten Hoopen is mede-indiender van het initiatief wetsvoorstel ‘Kraken en leegstand’ en is voor een algeheel kraakverbod. Volgens Ten Hoopen trekt kraken illegaliteit en criminaliteit aan: ‘Het instrument kraken is erger dan de kwaal geworden.’ Ook vastgoedeigenaren zien het kraken liever verdwijnen. Hein Bos, directeur van vereniging Vastgoed Belang ‘Je moet met je handen van andermans eigendommen afblijven.

Toch zijn de krakers niet de enigen die tegen een kraakverbod zijn. Ze krijgen steun uit onverwachtse hoek. De vier grote gemeenten hebben zich tegen een kraakverbod uitgesproken. Tjeerd Herrema, toenmalig wethouder van Volkshuisvesting te Amsterdam: ‘Als een eigenaar jarenlang een pand niet gebruikt waarvoor het bedoeld is, mag dan niet het maatschappelijk belang boven het eigenaars belang gesteld worden?’ Maarten van Poelgeest, Wethouder Ruimtelijke Ordening en Leen Schaap van de Amsterdamse politie wijzen op de praktische bezwaren van een kraakverbod. Leen Schaap: ‘Ik heb mijn mensen veel liever op straat om een boef te vangen dan om achter een kraker aan te rennen’.

On August 31st this year, a 15 year-old girl from Gaza made history by filing a law suit against Israel at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Amira Alquerem lost her father, brother and sister during the 22-day Israeli war on Gaza at the turn of the year. She's accusing Israel of homicides against members of her family, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Le 31 août 2009, une jeune fille de 15 ans de Gaza est entrée dans l'histoire en déposant une plainte contre Israël devant la Cour pénale internationale à la Haye. Amira Alquerem a perdu son père, son frère et sa soeur pendant la guerre israélienne de 22 jours contre Gaza, au tournant de lannée. Today's Awakening mainly about Do It Yourself idea and advices. We got new DIY guide for activists so we will introduce the book in this show and continue in pieces in the next one's. The other important subject would be campaign for freedom of Serbian anarchist's arrested for a act of terrorism - someone throw the molotow coctail on Greek's embassy. They are active in recently successful  anarcho syndicalists movement, so the government is trying to make the way to make them inactive. From our solidarity depends their freedom. So we will try to motivate everyone to at list sent protest letter or/ and do other actions. Attack on them is also on us. Solidarity is our weapon. Dzisiejszy Awakening głównie o idei Do It Yourself (Zrób to sam). Dostaliśmy nowy poradnik DIY, który by uczynić nasz program jak najbardziej praktycznym będziemy czytać co tydzień po kawałku. Jako wstęp do tego nowego cyklu uczyniliśmy tę książkę jako jeden z głównych tematów.

Drugim z głównych tematów będzie kampania o uwolnienie serbskich anarchistów oskarżonych o rzekome rzucenie koktajlu mołotowa na ambasadę grecką w Belgradzie. Będziemy starali się zmotywować słuchaczy do wysłania chociażby listu sprzeciwiającego się ich aresztowaniu jak i do innych akcji solidarnościowych. Free Anarchists in Belgrade!! Send letter to demand their freedom !!

 

Political Arrests in Belgrade

On Saturday, Sept. 4, five political activists were arrested in Belgrade on trumped up charges. The five, Tadej Kurep, Ivan Vulović, Sanja Dojkić, Ratibor Trivunac and Nikola Mitrovic, are activists in or associates of the Anarcho-Syndicalist Initiative, the Serbian section of the International Workers’ Association (IWA).

The arrests are allegedly related to a direct action which took place at the Greek Embassy on Aug. 25. Negligible damage was done; a crack in one window, a tiny burn mark on the facade and a circled A graffiti on the embassy as a act of symbolic solidarity with Thodoros Iliopoulos. The prosecutor however imagines this as an act of “international terrorism” and would like to charge our comrades with such. If the state allows such charges to be pressed, they could be facing 3-15 years in prison.

As it is, the five were arrested, harrassed and are to be held in custody for at least one month while the case is organized.

Although one of the accused, General Secretary of the IWA Ratibor Trivunac clearly and publically declared that he knew nothing of the action, he was arrested. It is not the first time that authorities have come after him or his comrades for no other reason than the fact that they are radical critics of the state.

We are calling on people around the world to take action now!

If you can organize a protest at a Serbian Embassy, Consulate or other Diplomatic Mission, please do so ASAP. Rather than one day of action, we think actions can be spread out over a few days, but we think it’s best not to wait! Try to make an action by Sept. 15-16.

Also, send faxes and protest letters! We are including a list of addresses on this page. If you like, you can also send a letter to the government through this page. You can write your own text or use out sample text. Our page can keep a log of signatorees so we may pass them on to the comrades in Serbia so they know which organizations and people have sent protests.

We use this opportunity to remind the public once again that these methods of individual political struggle are not methods of anarcho-syndicalism, quite the contrary – we proclaim our political positions publicly and through our work we seek to bring masses to the syndicalist movement and all the libertarian and progressive organisations.

Wanting to brutally suppress its fierce critics the state, through its mechanism of repression, acts with banal logic and maps as suspects those who explicitly stated their libertarian beliefs, and by their imprisonment ends the case and gives a false picture of its efficiency to the public.

Unscrupulous actions of regime’s organs can be observed from the first moments of arrest, unlawful searches of their apartments, intimidations of their families to extreme charges of international terrorism.

Given the fact that we do not support the acts of now famous anarchist group “Crni Ilija” (Black Iliya) we still cannot characterise what happened as “international terrorism”, because terrorism, by definition, entails threats to the lives of civilians, whereas in this case no one was even hurt and only symbolic material damage was done.

It is clear that this state produced farce is just one way of intimidating anyone who decides to point out the injustice and hopelessness of contemporary society.

In times of general social numbness individuals reach for the most unbelievable, sometimes even self-destructive, actions in order to break through the media blockade and to put their case in the centre of attention – let us remember the workers who cut off and eat their own fingers, or, for example, the unlucky, distressed man who threatened to activate a hand grenade in the building of the Presidency of Serbia – that is, trying to shed some light on their problems in a broader social space.

Lets not allow them to persuade us that one symbolic act of solidarity, even if expressed in a certainly ill manner, together with any other act of rebellion of those who are left with no rights should be treated as an antisocial act and an act of terrorism.

We express solidarity with the arrested comrades and their families and demand the truth about this case!

As usual, we will begin the show with the agenda. Then we will have a guest -Yo from the radio M2M(Migrant to Migrant), which will tell us about another pirate, independent radio in Amsterdam. It's focuses mainly on the theme of immigration. Yo  would tell us also about the campaign in defense of Ahmed Isa, survivor of the fire at the airport Shiphol when in the cell  waiting for deportation burned 11 people. Ahmed spite of this tragedy is still facing deportation. Yo would tell us about actions in defense him and other migrants without papers  . Continuation of the climate camp we will move on to next week, because we also would have other visitors.  The squaters from Rozbrat, Biała Podlaska, Wrocław(PL) and London would tell us about how it looks skloting in their cities and how is the situation of their pleaces and differences with movement in the Netherlands.
   Besides this we will play audio from demonstration for tolerance and in the  commemorating the murder of black boy,  Kerwin by one white boy from the same school who didn't liked his dark colour of skin. We will play the speaches and poem from this event what had place in 20 august in Vondelpark.

 I am afraid that we will have to skip our weekly parts of program do to this great invasion of guests ( I wish would happened more often).

Awakening 7 i Polonia Aktywna skłotingu w Polsce i Londynie oraz o M2M radio

Jak zwykle program zaczniemy agendą. Później będziemy mieli gościa-Yo z radia M2M, który opowie nam o innym pirackim niezależnym radiu w Amsterdamie."Migrant do Migranta" skupia się głównie na tematyce imigracyjnej. Yo opowie nam też o kampanii w obronie Ahmeda Isy, ocalałego z pożaru na lotnisku Shiphol, kiedy to w celi spłonęło 11 osób czekających na deportację. Opowiedzą nam o tym jak wygląda skłoting w ich miastach jaka jest sytuacja poszczególnych miejsc i o różnicach dotyczących Holandii.

  Po za tym póścimy audio z demonstracji o tolerancję i upamiętniającej zamordowanie 26 lat temu czarnoskórego Kerwina przez rówieśnika ze szkoły, któremu nie podobał się jego kolor skóry. Jesli chodzi o nasze stałe pozycje w programie obawiam się, że będziemy musieli z nich zrezygnować ze względu na ten wspaniały nawał gości.

Radio patapoe jest zarówno internetowe jak i w eterze. Normalne fale mają zasięg lokalny, a przez internet można nas słuchać na całym świecie. Jesteśmy radiem pirackim. Słuchają je głównie skłotersi, studenci, lecz także starsi ludzie , po których raczej bym się nie spodziewał. Ogólnie staramy się by było jak najbardziej zróżnicowane.

Z jedynych ograniczeń jakie mogę zauważyć to, to że nie puszczamy żadnej komercyjnej papki. Staramy się tworzyć alternatywę, a nie powielać stacje nastawione na zysk. Dlatego nie ma u nas żadnych reklam. Głównie przeważa muzyka eksperymentalna i elektroniczna, dużo jest reggae, dub, techno i punk. Po za tym audycje jakie miałyby małe szanse zaistnieć w komercyjnym radiu. Ja z Pipi gramy program "awakening" przez 3 i pół godziny w tygodniu (patrz plakat po prawej stronie , pod linkami na stronach) w skład, którego wchodzi też "Polonia Aktywna"(czasami nawet do godziny). Gadamy non stop przez ponad trzy godziny o ważnych dla nas sprawach : skłoterskich , politycznych, wolnościowych, ekologicznych, duchowych, prawach ludzi , prawach zwierząt itp. Czasem zapraszamy gości z różnych społecznych organizacji, by udzielili nam wywiadu o tym co robią. Welcome after summer break !!!Today issue that's like usual agenda, then...

Today's Awakening mainly about climate camp, held in early August in the vicinity of Antwerp, in Belgium near the Dutch border. We will play interviews recorded during the camp and also from actions made by the camp people. There were a few (blocking nuclear power plants by clowns army , hunging the banner and 250-five boards along the highway to protect the St.. Anna, which can be destroyed for building another highway, the closure of the meat stand in a supermarket cause to the climate change, blocking of the largest coal terminal, the demonstration of the release the arrested, demonstration of children and their parents for their future and the against expansion of the coal industry, and many others) so we will tacle also topics related to them. Interviewed people also will tell us about the camp's ideas, processes, organizations, events, etc.
   After this we say, a little about demonstration in coming thursday for tolerance and in the  commemorating the murder of black boy,  Kerwin by one white boy from the same school who didn't liked his dark colour of skin. As always, we would try to fit next, this time the sixth part of a great film about ALF "Hidden Mask" (Behind the Mask).Then as usual we will also would try to fit some good news, DIY tips and positive things about squatting...In the background like usual some fresh in our collection international/political songs(mainly punk)

Awakening 7 i Polonia Aktywna o obozie klimatycznym

Dzisiejszy Awakening głównie o obozie klimatycznym, który odbył się na początku sierpnia w okolicy Antwerpii, w Belgii koło holenderskiej granicy. Zagramy wywiady przeprowadzone w trakcie obozu, a także z przeprowadzonych tamże akcji. Było ich parę( blokada elektrowni atomowej przez armię klaunów, zawieszenie baneru i 250-ciu tablic wzdłuż autostrady by uchronić las św. Anny, który może zostać zniszczony by wybudować kolejną autostradę, zamknięcie stoiska mięsnego w jednym z supermarketów z powodu zmian klimatycznych, zablokowanie jednego z największych terminali węglowych, demonstracja o uwolnienie zaaresztowanych demonstracja dzieci i ich rodziców przez wieś o ich przyszłość i przeciwko rozbudowie przemysłu węglowego i wiele innych) tak więc poruszymy tematy z nimi związane. Przewywiadowane osoby także nam opowiedzą o obozie jego ideach, przebiegu, organizacji, wydarzeniach itp.

  Po za tym powiemy nieco o demonstracji o tolerancję upamiętniającą zamordowanie 26 lat temu czarnoskórego Kerwina przez rówieśnika ze szkoły, któremu nie podobał się jego kolor skury. Jak zwykle postaramy się też wcisnąć kolejną, tym razem szóstą część audio z wspaniałego filmu o ALF "Ukryty za Maską"(Behind the mask)
