JUSTICE FOR MURDERED COMRADES BEATRIZ ALBERTA CARIÑO AND JYRI JAAKKOLA!!!
END THE ATTACKS AND SIEGE ON THE AUTONOMOUS MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JUAN COPALA!!!

On Tuesday, April 27, an solidarity caravan made up of Oaxacan civil society organizations and international solidarity activists was ambushed by state-backed para-militaries. They were bringing much-needed supplies and attempting to break the siege of San Juan Copala, an autonomous Triqui community encircled and accosted by the same paramilitaries. Around 15 armed men from the paramilitary organization UBISORT ambushed the convoy, killing Beatriz Alberta Cariño, director of the Center of Community Support Working Together (CACTUS), and Jyri Jaakkola, an international solidarity observer from Finland.

Join us in standing in solidarity with the autonomous project of San Juan Copala, to demand justice for Beatriz Alberta Cariño and Jyri Jaakkola.

End of an article written by a friend of Beatriz Alberta Cariño:
"A good friend of mine is dead because she believed in a better world. Her two young kids and the thousands of people she influenced now have the responsibility of continuing her struggle."

Part of moving letter from Beatriz Alberta Cariño's son, daughter and husband.
"Now it is more difficult to destroy you. You are alive and burning in the hearts of dignified men and women. You represent the voice of a new path that is called hope for true peace for the Triqui people, for the autonomous municipality of San Juan Copala.(...)Because you are the flower, and your seed is the fruit of the dignified path we must follow. We won't forget you. Omar, Ita, and I say to you, "Until the victory."
